Michele
Michele Goldstein is a private school teacher in San Diego. She has an extensive background in education with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from the University of Vermont and a Master’s of Education in Human Development and Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is passionate about helping different types of learners and working with students to find strategies they can carry with them throughout their lives. Michele is excited to work with Kelsey in helping students and providing resources to the community!
April
April Leavenworth is an educational therapist with 10 years of experience in education. Prior to becoming an ET, April taught English Language Arts at the middle and high school level for six years. She has a B.A. in Writing & Literature from Emerson College, an M.S. in Education from the University of Bridgeport, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Therapy from UC Riverside. She loves to spend time hiking with her rescue dog, Callie, and write creative nonfiction.
Melissa
Hi students and parents! My name is Melissa and I have been tutoring K-college students over 15 years: reading, writing, Language Arts up through the college level, and math through 9th grade. I also earned an MA in Literature and Writing Studies and taught two freshmen composition classes at Cal State University-San Marcos. My daughter is currently in elementary school, so I am empathetic to what students have been facing this year. I have experience with online resources and tools to facilitate and optimize virtual learning. I am comfortable working with current school curriculum or creating my own to supplement school work or a combination of both. In my spare time, you can usually find us at Safari Park (we have been long-term members!), or out walking on the beach. Looking forward to meeting and working with you!
